Full comprehensive eye exams, vision testing, glaucoma testing, binocular vision testing, and complete dilated retinal evaluations. Dr. Salaj is fully trained and experienced in all types of contact lens fittings and evaluations as well as the management of ocular diseases and other medical issues. We take great pride in our boutique of carefully selected eyeglasses and sunglasses from some of the world’s eyewear leaders.

CONTACT LENS FITTINGS AND EVALUATIONS
Comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. Annual eye exams are important as they are able to not only check your vision but can help in detecting serious eye disease and general heath problems as well. Our exams include vision testing, binocular vision assessment, visual field and glaucoma testing, retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography (OCT). We also offer Laser Vision and Surgical care Co-Management.
Our eyewear boutique is full of glasses, sunglasses , safety and sports eyewear for men and women of all ages. We carry a large variety of name brands and styles and can help you find the best look, fit and comfort for all your vision needs. Computer glasses and specialty designs are also part of our selection.
If you wear or would like to wear contact lenses, we perform special tests and examinations to ensure optimal vision and ocular health. We provide fitting for the most up to date designs in all types of contact lenses and follow up to ensure their fit and prescription meet your needs.
DR. KAREN SALAJ, O.D.
Dr. Karen Salaj graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1989 with both Honours Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees.In addition she holds a Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Certification from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
After working in Ottawa and Montreal in private practice (Montreal Association for the Blind low vision clinic and as a clinical supervisor at the University of Montreal's School of Optometry) Dr. Salaj started working in Morrisburg as a part time associate of Dr. Norman Tenenbaum in 1993. The practice, which was started in the late 1950s by Dr. Walroth, was a small satellite practice for Dr. Tenenbaum. Dr. Salaj loved the people, the town and its beautiful surroundings so much that she purchased the practice in September 1996 to become its sole practitioner.

Dr. Salaj has grown the practice significantly since then, moving it twice within the Morrisburg Plaza to accommodate the office's growing needs and incorporate the increasing technological advances in eye care and growing demand for glasses and contacts lenses.

New patients are welcome and Dr. Salaj looks forward to continuing to care for and serve patients for many years to come.
